Oh, boy, this is going to be a long post I can feel it.
I have some beefs (I don't understand this term, but I will use it anyway):
First on my list is my tendency to hide things.
Since I got my purse stolen three years ago, my parents complain that I
a) can't keep my finances in order
b) always leave my bank account number everywhere
and c) am going to get my purse stolen again especially since I spent SO much money ($60) on a purse. (P.S. I bought my aqua purse, Melissa, at Dillard's. I am pretty sure the brand is Kelly.)
Their complaining combined with my constant need for secrecy has caused me to develop a strategy that I will now share with you: HIDE EVERYTHING. Mind you, I do not suggest anyone to develop this, well, I guess we'll just call it a complex. I hide deposit slips, checks, bills (as if someone will steal them), any mail with any remnant of my name, packing slips, slips that KnitPicks sends you with your orders, personal notes, birthday cards-- anything with my name on it. I don't know why, it's just this compulsive action. This story leads to one thing-- I can't find my damn checks. I have found a note I was going to send my (last now ex)boyfriend from EIGHT MONTHS ago; however, the checks I had from LAST MONTH are gone. Poof. I guess the good thing is that I KNOW they are in my apartment somewhere... so the search continues...
My second beef is the following. I hate my job, but don't know if I should quit or not. I'd go more into detail, but this is my thirteenth day working and I can't think anymore.
Today In Emily B's Knitting World:
HAS ANYONE ELSE DISCOVERED THE FANTASTICALLY AMAZING RAVELRY.COM!? I was lurking around blogs the otherday and I fell in love! Everything at your fingertips even your effing blog posts! YOUR EFFING BLOG POSTS! I am so crazy about it, seriously. I am in the process of listing all my stupid yarn up! It also really helps keep my stash organized... or will, once I list what I personally own and not just what's for sale... Look me up, I'm springsteena.
I frogged my Tunic from FK. Screw that, man. I was about to rename my blog "Short Row Blues" it was making me so mad. Note to self: no more short rows for a while. This is why I hate knitting socks. I suck at them. They always look funny ALWAYS. I think I'll try them again this winter... After I frogged it, I started the Drop-Stitch. Yeah, I was knitting it and thinking, this is way too small. Nothing is that stretchy! I messed up in a part and I got so frustrated I frogged the whole thing. I tried it on, and sure enough I must be fat or something. Does NOT fit. It makes me look like a sausage. Next time, I'll do two sizes bigger. I'm super self-concious about stretchyness/tightness.
La Puffy (Puff-Sleeved Feminine Cardigan of FK) is coming along swimmingly. She's just so spectacular. She is my darling child. UNLIKE YOU TUNIC/TANK. Damn Pima Tencel! DAMN PIMA TENCEL.
I worked on my ribbed shrug for ten minutes last night. I will work on it some more. All I have is ribbing around the whole thing. Right now, it looks like a dog sweater all scrunched on my needles :).
Now I'm debating on casting on for an easy knit-- the on-deck pullover. Hattie would say yes, but everything tells me I should finish one project before starting another.
Also, I think everyone has baby-knits fever. I am one of them... Maybe I'll get the yarn for the Katia from knitty.

I can't wait to see Ravelry! I can't sign up yet because it's saying it's still undergoing testing. I think it is going to be seriously awesome!!
I am sorry you hate your job dear. I hope things look up and get better in that department.
On another note, I most certainly do not have knitting baby stuff fever. -=giggle=- It might have something to do with the fact I do not know a soul with a baby at the moment. =)
I have baby-knitting fever as well. I'm finishing a pair of socks (that smell like cat pee. Don't worry. I'm not sending them to you.) and with the leftover yarn, I'm thinking of making a pair of baby socks for a pregnant friend (for her baby, not her). Glad to know I'm not alone. I'm sorry your job sucks. Let's start a magazine. :)
My college roommate constantly lost her wallet. She once lost it and didn't cancel her cards for over two months. Once she got around to canceling them, the wallet was mailed to her by a good Samaratin.
I'm afraid of short rows, too. But, next week I'm taking a class in them. Hopefully after that the fear will be gone.
Also, I'm in the middle of baby knitting fever. I'm knitting a baby blanket for a coworker. And, the my college roommate(who is now a pediatric dentist starting her own practice. If that gives you hope.) is due in November. I'm going to knit here a blanket plus some cute other things once she finds out the sex.
Yay! Bag info! :) Good luck finding your checks! :) And I agree... Isn't Ravelry amazing? How did you get in already??? Hattie is an enabler. ;)
I love being the enabler lol.
My sister is like that with losing stuff. She's always losing money. Get a paper shredder! We shred everything and it cuts it into such small pieces no one could put it back together. Besides that we either burn the shreddings or my mother in law plants them in the garden with plants...not sure why.
