Have you heard about my sale yarn? At threepeas.etsy.com I have all the hand-dyed goodness slashed. These prices are literally the lowest I will go, so as much as I'd like to discount the yarn because I love you guys, I can't. I have to make some sort of profit. Thank you to those of you who are donating by buying some of my stash :D.
No knitting is getting done.
Now, the entire story of Josephine's injury.
On Saturday night, I was getting ready for bed when I noticed my cat was nowhere to be found. This isn't compeltely unusual, she likes to run around and do her own thing. We live in an apartment on the third floor, so her outside time (which she has a lot of) is spent on the porch. Occasionally, she jumps up on the railing so she can get a better view of her kingdom. I can't stop her, she does what she wants to do-- she's siamese.
Around 10:30pm, I heard her jump up there and that's really the last time I remember seeing or hearing her run around. At about 12:30, I wondered where she was, but I was headed to bed and I figured she would turn up. I couldn't sleep though. At around 1, I got up in search for her. I checked everywhere and I couldn't find her. Finally, I opened a can of wet food, hoping her little kitty face would come trotting out behind some unusual spot. No response. I ran downstairs to find her. How do I know she fell? I always check to see if she has snuck out of the apartment and there is only one other way out.
I found her behind a bush and as I called her, she started making horrible kitty noises of pain. I picked her up and took her back to the apartment and she was limping. I put her on my bed and gave her some food to eat and examined her a little. She didn't look that bad for a three story fall. I was going to take her to the vet right away but my parents convinced me otherwise so I stayed with her all night. She mostly slept on Sunday, and on Monday morning I took her to the vet.
She's fractured, broken and bruised, but I think she's actually not too upset about it. She's been sleeping all day and cuddling with me for about half an hour every night. It helps that she's doped up on drugs.
I'm hoping that she won't need her broken tooth extracted later. That will be more in vet bills. The next vet bill will be around the same as this one because she needs more x-rays and anethesia to take x-rays that may be pretty painful. Right now, she's good at staying still, but I can tell taht she's going to be running around in no time and I am giong to need a crate for her so that she won't injure herself some more. By crate I mean a large dog crate. And by large I mean $150.
I've been interviewing for a job at USAA for the past couple weeks. I had an assesment and two interviews yesterday, so in short I am pooped. For now everything is done, but at a stand still. In July, I'll find out if I'm hired or not.
I am eternally grateful for everyone's concerns about Josephine. I feel like a single parent when it comes to her. Your lovely comments make me feel so much less alone >D!

Well, thank goodness she's doing ok right now! Hopefully everything will work out all right.
Good lord I need to check your blog more frequently. I'm thinking happy thoughts about Josephine. Poor baby. I'd be uber-concerned if something like that happened to one of my kittikins. I thought happy thoughts for you yesterday for your JOB interviews and such. You rawk sweetie.
Sending good J*O*B vibes your way. And I'm so glad to hear Josie is on the mend!
AAWWWWWWW! Poor thing! I hope she gets well soon.
I am so glad she is going to be okay. I was worried about both you and her. I get my paycheck tomorrow and I am going to buy some yarn from you. =)
Sorry it's later than I said, I have been having a bit of financial troubles lately. -=hugs=-
